HELLO everyone
Here's my Eastern story...the good, the bad, the ugly, and really funny!
Well, in 1963, I flew from Detroit to Miami to become an Eastern Airlines stewardess when I was just 20 years old.
I was the first person in my family ever to fly.
My grandmother always said,
“If God wanted me to fly, He would have given me wings.”
She didn’t have tires on her body, so she didn't drive either.
Apparently, if God wanted Grandma to go anywhere,
He would have given her a bus pass.
I was terrified of flying—
But I was even more terrified of spending the rest of my life in Detroit.
So I got on the plane.
Hello Eastern, Hello World!
