With the arrival of Ancestry.com, many people have discovered new family members that they never knew about, such as
My Baby Brother Ron and Myself.

It goes like this:
My niece Kimberly called me and said ‚Hi Aunt Jan, You better sit down? I’ve been contacted through Ancestry.com by a man who says that he thinks he may be your half-brother. He seems very nice and sincere and would like to have you call him when you can.‛
January: ‚Hi, Ron, this is Janice, and I’ve been contacted by my niece Kimberly asking me to call you regarding your being my half- brother?‛
Ron: ‚Hello, and thank you for calling me. I have matched my genealogy to yours and think we may be related.‛

January: ‚In what way?‛
Ron: ‚I think we may have the same father but different mothers. Would you be willing to join Ancestry and help me to verify our relationship?‛
Needless to say, I was shocked by this exchange, but I agreed to join and take the swab test to find out if I had an unknown half-brother.
I took the test, and it came back conclusively that we were indeed half-siblings.

Thus began one of the best things that has ever happened to both of us. Ron flew out the next week to meet me and get to know me. I met him at LAX and as he walked towards me for the first time, I could not believe my eyes. He is the spitting image of our deceased father. I told him right there as we hugged and embraced
that we wouldn’t need any more DNA proof. Just by looking at him, I knew that we were brother and sister.
